The trace of memory of home is to show the connection between myself, and viewer through memory and common experience regardless of background, nationality, race or gender. Most people have mirrors and tables in their homes. I used a second hand mirror and table which belongs to anonymous to make the feeling universal, and I have added some personal objects like the Turkish coffee cup with coffee in it, to show that a scent triggers the memory. I used clay to create a small vase and used acrylic paint to colour it. I also used calico fabric to create an abstract work using different brush strokes. And I created footsteps traces on another piece of fabric to show traces of movement in the place. 2014
